A typical treatment begins with the practitioner using a series of skilful questions to help induce a state of positive thinking. Once this has been achieved, hypnotic “trance” is used to encourage a state of Rapid Eye Movement (REM), just as is experienced in light sleep. It is in this state that the brain is able to rid itself of unwanted or unhelpful behaviours and conditions.
These behaviours and conditions might include: stress, phobias, fears, panic attacks, lack of confidence, depression, anxiety, anger, weight control, exam nerves, insomnia, IBS, migraines, nail biting, nightmares, obsessions, chronic pain, sports performance and addictions, including stopping smoking, and many more.
